Canara Robeco Ultra Short Term Fund

Investment Objective and Approach

The investment objective of the Canara Robeco Ultra Short Term Fund is to generate returns that are higher than liquid funds but with a lower risk profile. The fund will invest in a portfolio of debt and money market instruments with an average maturity of up to 3 years.

The scheme seeks to generate returns by investing in a wide range of debt securities and money market instruments of various maturities and risk profile. Ultra-short duration debt funds predominantly invest in bonds maturing in three to six months. They aim to earn slightly better returns over liquid funds but with a marginally higher degree of volatility.

The fund follows a conservative investment strategy focused on maintaining stability while offering better yields than liquid funds. They are suitable to park the amount you have set aside to meet any emergency needs or any surplus money that you don't need for the next six months up to 1-1.5 years.

Should I Invest in Canara Robeco Ultra Short Term Fund?

This fund may be suitable for investors who:

- Seek marginally higher returns than liquid funds with slightly higher risk tolerance

- Want to park emergency funds or short-term surpluses for 6 months to 1.5 years

- Prefer debt investments with low to moderate risk profile

- Need high liquidity with better returns than traditional savings options

But those, who want slightly better returns and can withstand a little more volatility, can consider ultra-short duration funds. The risk of incurring a loss in these funds over the said timeframe is low but they do not guarantee returns or safety of capital.

Consider your investment horizon, risk appetite, and financial goals before investing. The fund's conservative approach makes it suitable for risk-averse investors looking for stable returns from debt instruments.
