The investment objective of the scheme is to generate regular income and provide liquidity by investing primarily in a portfolio comprising of debt & money market instruments. This is an open ended ultra-short term debt scheme investing in instruments such that the Macaulay duration of the portfolio is between 3 months to 6 months. The fund carries relatively low interest rate risk and moderate credit risk.
Investment will primarily be made in short maturity papers along with tactical exposure to Government Securities (T-bills). The endeavor will be to have a portfolio of high quality and low interest rate sensitive debt securities. The fund invests up to 100% of its assets in debt and money market instruments carrying a low to medium amount of risk with a focus on investments in highly rated instruments (AAA/A1+ rated papers).
The fund follows an accrual strategy and aims to hold instruments in the portfolio till maturity to earn interest, targeting stable returns across different interest rate scenarios. The fund is currently managed by Mr. Basant Bafna since 16th January, 2023. Mr. Basant Bafna has over 14 years of experience in the banking industry.
