Investment Objective and Approach

The Scheme seeks to generate long-term capital growth by investing in a concentrated portfolio of equity & equity related instruments of up to 25 companies across market capitalization. Baroda BNP Paribas Focused Fund is mandated to invest at least 65 per cent of its assets in equity stocks at all times. Since it follows a focused investment strategy, it limits the number of stocks in its portfolio to a maximum of 30.

The fund follows a concentrated investment approach, which means it invests in a limited number of carefully selected stocks rather than diversifying across a large number of holdings. Flexi cap funds have complete freedom to invest in companies of different sizes, depending on where the fund management team expects maximum gains. This concentrated strategy allows fund managers to have deeper conviction in their stock picks but also increases the risk due to lower diversification.
