Tata Value Fund follows a value investment strategy designed to achieve long-term capital appreciation. The fund employs a value investment strategy to target long-term capital appreciation, primarily investing in equity and equity-related instruments of companies with a rolling price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio lower than that of S&P BSE Sensex. Additionally, the fund uses various qualitative and quantitative screens to select companies for investment. This approach seeks to identify undervalued opportunities in the market and benefit from their potential growth over time. The primary investment objective is to achieve income distribution and/or capital appreciation over the medium to long term. The fund primarily aims to achieve capital appreciation by investing 70% of its total assets in stocks. These stocks are selected based on a trailing P/E ratio that is lower than that of the BSE Sensex Total Return Index.
The fund's investment philosophy centers on identifying undervalued companies trading at attractive valuations compared to the broader market. The fund managers employ both quantitative and qualitative analysis to select stocks that offer potential for capital appreciation while maintaining reasonable valuations.
