Business Segments and Operations

Sugar Manufacturing

The company manufactures and markets white crystal sugar with an installed capacity of 6000 tonnes per day (tpd). Its product offerings include white crystal sugar, demerara sugar, and jaggery powder. Sugar manufacturing forms the foundational part of the company's integrated business model.

Distillery Operations

Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals operates two distilleries with a total production capacity of 125 kilo liter per day (KLPD) to produce rectified spirit, extra neutral alcohol, and anhydrous alcohol. A new distillery plant with an installed capacity of 80 KL per day was commissioned at Gingee, Tamil Nadu, on April 27, 2012. The industrial alcohol produced is further utilized for other chemical products.

Power Generation and Cogeneration

The company possesses three cogeneration plants equipped with high-pressure boilers and extraction-cum-condensing turbines. These plants generate 57.5 megawatts of green power, of which 41 megawatts are exported to the TANGEDCO grid. The 22 MW bagasse-based cogeneration plant at Mundiampakkam was commissioned on June 1, 2005. These operations are integrated with the sugar industry's by-products like molasses and bagasse.

FY 2025 Annual Results

For the full fiscal year ended March 2025, net profit declined by 41.21% to Rs 8.09 crore, compared to Rs 13.76 crore in the previous fiscal year ended March 2024. Sales also saw a decrease of 15.95%, amounting to Rs 641.82 crore for FY 2025, against Rs 763.65 crore in FY 2024.

Q4 FY 2025 Results

In the fourth quarter ended March 2025, net profit dropped by 24.94% to Rs 11.86 crore, from Rs 15.80 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year (Q4 FY 2024). Sales declined by 6.17% to Rs 174.54 crore in Q4 FY 2025, compared to Rs 186.01 crore in Q4 FY 2024.

Quarterly Performance Trends

The company reported a standalone net loss of Rs 20.44 crore for the quarter ended December 2024, an improvement from the net loss of Rs 27.75 crore in the previous quarter ended December 2023. Sales for the December 2024 quarter declined by 40.62% to Rs 81.19 crore, from Rs 136.73 crore in the December 2023 quarter.
