AMCR
Amcor plc, together with its subsidiaries, engages in the production and sale of packaging products across Europe, North America, Latin America, and the Asia Pacific. Amcor is a global producer of plastic packaging primarily for the fast-moving consumer goods industry. The company was founded in 1926 and is headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland.
The company operates in two primary segments: Global Flexible Packaging Solutions and Global Rigid Packaging Solutions. Approximately 90% of earnings are derived from the flexible packaging business, which includes soft, disposable plastic for a variety of food, drink, healthcare, and hygiene products. The remaining earnings come from the Latin and North American rigids business, primarily focused on beverage bottling for the soft drink industry.
Operating in more than 35 countries, Amcor has a significant market share in its established regions: North America, Latin America, Europe, and Asia-Pacific. Approximately half of group sales are derived from North America, with the remainder split equally between Western Europe and emerging markets. Sales from Australia and New Zealand account for less than 5% of group sales.
Amcor plc announced the successful completion of its all-stock combination with Berry Global ("Berry"), effective April 30, 2025. The deal, described as the largest transaction in Amcor's history, was first announced in November 2024 and was previously valued at $8.4 billion.
This combination expands Amcor's reach to approximately 140 countries, with around 400 facilities, 70,000 employees, and $23 billion in anticipated sales revenue. Amcor enhances its position as a global leader in consumer and healthcare packaging solutions, equipped with unique material science and innovation capabilities to revolutionize product development and meet customers' and consumers' sustainability aspirations.
With multiple new growth opportunities and $650 million of identified synergies, Amcor is well-positioned to deliver significant near- and long-term value for customers and shareholders. In fiscal 2026, before accounting for underlying business growth, Amcor expects to realize $260 million in pre-tax synergies alone, driving adjusted EPS accretion of approximately 12%. By the end of fiscal 2028, the company anticipates total pre-tax synergy benefits to build to approximately $650 million and to have delivered an additional $280 million in one-time cash benefits from working capital improvements.
