The company operates as a specialized engineering thermoplastics manufacturer, focusing on producing high-quality polymer resins that serve as essential raw materials for various industries. BEPL manufactures and sells acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) and styrene acrylate (SAN) resins. It is presently having manufacturing facilities at Abu Road, Rajasthan, and Satnoor, Madhya Pradesh.

The company manufactures ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) and SAN (Styrene Acrylonitrile) resins. ABS is used to make light, rigid, molded products such as pipe, automotive body parts, wheel covers, enclosures, and protective headgear. SAN is a plastic copolymer with thermal and chemical resistant properties, with uses including housewares and consumer goods, various compounded products, packaging, and appliances (electrical and electronic).

Its products include general-purpose, heat-resistant, flame-retardant, and extrusion ABS resins for automotive, home appliances, stationery and toys, kitchenware, packaging, electronics, healthcare, and electrical, as well as construction applications. Based on the latest financial results, the Net profit of Bhansali Engineering Polymers declined 2.28% to ₹39.50 crore in the quarter ended March 2025, as against ₹40.42 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2024. Sales rose 7.40% to ₹344.94 crore in the quarter ended March 2025, as against ₹321.18 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2024. India's Bhansali Engineering Polymers Ltd (BEPL) plans to nearly double acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) capacity in the Rajasthan state to 145,000 tonnes/year in about two years. The company signed an agreement with Toyo Engineering on the expansion from the current production capacity of 75,000 tonnes/year at Abu Road. The expanded capacity is expected to come on stream by March 2026.

While BEPL has received government clearance for expanding its ABS capacity to 200,000 tonnes/year, it will initially expand capacity to 145,000 tonnes/year. The company has also got clearance to increase its styrene acrylonitrile (SAN) capacity at its Abu Road complex to 25,000 tonnes/year, more than triple its current annual capacity of 7,000 tonnes/year.

BEPL has been promoted by B. M. Bhansali and P. R. Bhansali in association with the Madhya Pradesh Audyogik Vikas Nigam (MPAVN), an industrial development corporation of the state government of Madhya Pradesh.
