The Digital TV Services segment offers both standard and high definition (HD) digital TV services with 3D capabilities and Dolby surround sound. Airtel has a strong position, with a revenue market share of 39%, and a subscriber market share of 33%. Airtel Bharat is the second largest provider of mobile telephony after Jio and the second largest provider of fixed telephony in India and is also a provider of Broadband and subscription television services. Its subscriber count stands at 28.9 million (as of December 2024).

The company's technological capabilities are well-established in the Indian market. Currently, Airtel provides 5G, 4G and LTE Advanced services throughout India. Airtel had also rolled out its Voice over LTE (VoLTE) technology across all Indian telecom circles. The company's third quarter performance for FY25 was particularly impressive. Bharti Airtel on Thursday reported an impressive 505 per cent rise in its consolidated net profit at Rs 14,781 crore for the third quarter (Q3) of the financial year 2024-25 (FY25), up from Rs 2,442 crore reported during the same period last year. The telco reported a 19 per cent rise in consolidate total income at Rs 45,599 crore year-on-year (Y-o-Y) from Rs 38,339 crore.

Key financial metrics show strong operational efficiency. Average revenue per user (Arpu) grew to Rs 245 in Q3 FY25 from Rs 208 in Q3 FY24. The India business posted Ebitda of Rs 19,850 crore, reflecting an earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (Ebitda) margin of 57.3 per cent. One of India's leading telecommunication network companies, Bharti Airtel Limited reported a revenue of over 1.5 trillion Indian rupees in fiscal year 2024.

Recent Developments and Strategic Initiatives

The company has been actively pursuing strategic partnerships and technological advancements. It has partnered with Starlink to enhance satellite broadband connectivity in India. This collaboration aims to provide high-speed internet access to remote and rural areas, leveraging Starlink's low-earth orbit satellite technology and Airtel's extensive telecom infrastructure. In May 2024 Google Cloud partnered with Airtel.
