These manufacturing facilities are strategically located in Kheda, Umargaon (Vapi), and Kapadvanj (Ahmedabad) in Gujarat, and Wada (Palghar) in Maharashtra.

The company has systematically expanded its manufacturing capabilities. In FY25, Bigbloc Building Elements Pvt Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary, completed the Phase 2 expansion of its AAC block manufacturing plant in Wada, Maharashtra. This JV has commenced commercial operations at India's first AAC wall plant in Kheda, Gujarat. Built with an investment of Rs. 65 crore, the plant has a 2.5 lakh CBM annual capacity and specializes in producing large-format AAC walls (ranging from 8 to 20 feet long). This venture marks SCG Group's inaugural investment in India.

The JV has already secured a notable order worth Rs. 4.5 crore from Tata Projects Ltd to supply and install 2 lakh sq. ft. of 100 mm AAC panels at Micron India's Sanand facility. This represents its first major order. Furthermore, the company received IIT certification for its new product, "ZMARTBUILD WALL by NXTBLOC," and is currently the sole supplier in India capable of delivering 20-foot AAC wall panels, a product previously reliant on imports.

Recent Developments and Future Outlook

According to Executive Chairman Narayan Saboo, the Q2 FY25 financial performance was primarily impacted by excessive monsoon conditions in Western India, which affected demand, production schedules, supply chains, and operational efficiency. The consolidated capacity utilization of the three running plants was 60%, lower due to the temporary shutdown of the Umargaon, Vapi plant for technology upgradation. Management remains optimistic for strong growth in Q3 and Q4 of FY25, noting that the Umargaon Plant upgradation was completed on October 16, 2024, and operations have since commenced and are being scaled up gradually.

India is the second-largest block manufacturer globally after China, and the AAC market in the country is projected to grow rapidly. Bigbloc Construction continues to focus on expanding its manufacturing capacity and geographic reach to capitalize on the increasing demand for sustainable building materials across India.
