Canara Bank is a state-owned commercial bank with headquarters in Bangalore. The Bank provides a range of products and services to the customers. It is one of India's three largest nationalized banks under the ownership of the Ministry of Finance, Government of India. The bank is headquartered in Bengaluru and has offices in London, Dubai, Hong Kong, and New York. Canara was incorporated in 1906 and nationalised in 1969, along with 13 other major commercial banks of India, by the GoI.

The Bank's segments include Treasury Operations, Retail Banking Operations, Wholesale Banking Operations, Life Insurance Operations and Other Banking Operations. The bank operates through a comprehensive network offering diversified financial services across multiple verticals.

The Bank's diversified products and services include personal banking and corporate banking. Its personal banking includes depository services, mutual funds, ancillary services, technology products, retail loan products, micro, small and medium enterprise loan products and card services, among others. Its corporate banking includes accounts and deposits, supply chain finance management, syndication services and technology upgradation fund schemes, among others. Across the borders the Bank has 8 branches one each at London Leicester Hong Kong Shanghai Manama Johannesburg New York and DIFC (Dubai) & a Representative Office at Sharjah UAE.

The bank reported standalone total income at ₹37,353 crore for Q4 FY25, representing a 10 per cent increase compared to ₹34,025 crore in the year-ago period.

For FY25, Canara Bank achieved revenue of ₹1,21,601 crore and profit of ₹17,692 crore. The bank's net profit jumped 28.3% year-on-year to ₹5,070.19 crore in Q4 2024-2025. The company has delivered good profit growth of 61.9% CAGR over the last 5 years.
