The company offers autonomous driving and advanced driver assistance system solutions, including system engineering and functional safety; platform and software integration; integrated domain validation; ADAS features development, AI based perception and planning, and cloud and devOps; body electronics, high performance compute application and zonal ECUs and single function ECU; chassis; edge to cloud integration services, HW-SW disaggregation, and validation services; and charging platform, battery management system platform, AUTOSAR-compliant platform, FCEV solution, and vehicle control unit. It provides vehicle OS comprising E/E architecture, and middle development and integration services; cloud, edge analytics, and data management; and vehicle engineering and design.

Growth strategies – Diversifying from its traditional passenger cars segment, KPIT is aiming to expand its offerings capitalising on the software integration opportunities in off-highway and commercial vehicles (CV) segment. Corporate History and Evolution

KPIT was co-founded in 1990 by Ravi Pandit and Kishor Patil, as KPIT Infosystems. The company made its initial public offer (IPO) in 1999, which was 50 times oversubscribed. In 2002, Cummins Infotech, the IT department of Cummins merged with KPIT, and the name of the company became KPIT Cummins Infosystems Ltd. KPIT Cummins Infosystems changed its name to "KPIT Technologies Limited" in September 2013.

A significant transformation occurred in 2018 when In January 2018, Birlasoft, an IT company, and KPIT announced their merger, with plans to immediately split into two new companies. Following the corporate spin-off, one company focused on IT and the other on automotive was formed. The IT company operated under the name Birlasoft, and the automotive company operated under the name KPIT Technologies. On 22 April 2019, KPIT Technologies Limited got listed on BSE and NSE.
